Grand Cherokee stereo setup?
I have an 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Infinity 6 channel stereo. I was planning on going with an aftermarket headunit and swapping the door speakers with 6 x 9 2 way pioneers. My plan is this:
Using the internal amp in the new radio and bypassing the stock amp. RCA jacks running to the rear seat and butt splicing them into the existing speaker wires. I would also wire the 2 dash speakers in series by tapping into the front door speakers. This way I would have full range from all four speakers and have the 2 dash speakers still active. Is this a functional plan?
nah... as long as your getting a good headunit I would just by the wire harness and hook up the remote wire to the factory amp and they should power them that way.
