I think it's bull but would like to check before upgrading it to windoes XP

I have upgraded to the max 512MB ram so XP shouldnt bbe a problem
If you go to the Download section on Hp's website it has drivers listed for Windows 98, ME and XP. The only thing listed under XP however is the graphics drivers and a firmware download. This might be because XP will recognize the other hardware on its own but it isn't any type of guarantee that it will run without any issues but you can always give it a try. The hardware itself should be capable of running XP.
