Track Lighting
One of the most common types of Illumination is track lighting. This is quite a powerful tool for an interior designer, but the use of it causes some confusion and it is often misunderstood. This might be due to reason the designers do not know clearly about the basic principles behind this kind of illumination.
Where to use
This kind of lighting is not suitable for use in most parts of your home. It is quite directional, and these lights are most suited as task lighting or accent lighting. These lights cannot be used to provide normal light in big rooms. There are several components that could be installed with track lights, to make it a total system.
Installation
Track refers to a channel that is mounted on the surface on which the lights ought to be fixed. The channel is to hold the light units, known as heads in place, and supply them with power. Since a track is surface mounted, it is quite simple to install a track, even in renovation sights. Though the track is often mounted on the ceiling, you could mount it on a wall, a pillar, an overhang from the roof, or on cables. Power supply to the track is normally provided from the end of the track. You can power it from any point on the channel, by using special adapters. You can lay the track out in different shapes, as required. There are many adapters available to set the track in various layout models, using corners and branches. However, the components of a particular track may not be compatible with another track.

Track lighting is very versatile and flexible. You can modify the track system after you lay it. So, you can expand it as required, or move heads as you like, add or modify the types of heads, and much more. Also, while you place tracks make sure that the track is only used as task light, and could be used in the rooms to accentuate points like paintings, curios, or other points of interest. Make sure that the track is placed at the required distance from the focal point. However, the track might make the fixtures look crowded, if the ceiling is low. So, tracks might make the setting look really great if it is planned well. The types of light and the applications of these lighting systems are very similar to those of recessed systems.
Track heads are available in a huge variety to choose from, although the differences between them are normally on the looks. Though two different track heads look dissimilar, the illumination would look almost the same, if the same bulbs and angles are used for both of them. Generally, PAR lamps are used on the tracks. These halogen lamps are quite energy efficient, and provide clear optics and brilliant colors. Are the stars at the edge of the visible universe travelling faster than the speed of light?
While watching History channel I discovered that there is an edge to our visible universe called event horizon. We can only see so far into space, beyond that we see only darkness. I also learned that all matter in space is moving faster and faster away from each other contradictory to the laws of gravity. Thus, I was wondering if the stars beyond the event horizon are actually moving so fast, faster than the speed of light, causing the light to never reach us.
Absolutly not......There is no such thing as an Event horizon at the edge of our universe....you mistook that for the event horizon of the black hole.....but since that isn't your question I wont discuss that. We are moving away from everything else as it is everything else because of the energy left over from the big bang. Eventually the energy will be exausted and we will start the big crunch which is newtons law of gravity saying we all attract one another. It is not possible to go faster or even the speed of light. The speed of light is relative to nothing, not even time.
