Starter Drum Sets For Kids: Why Buying A Used Child Drum Set Is A Excellent Option For Parent
Starting a young one on a musical instrument early in life is very popular, and while many parents aren't brave enough to buy a child drum set, drumming can be a great activity for young kids. Learning the basics of drumming will not only teach your child a skill for life, but instill important rhythm skills that are translatable to a bunch of musical instrument and many other endeavors such as sports as well. Plus, there are many more child drum kits on the market today than ever before, and the quality has gone up as prices have gone down. However if you are a parent looking for a child drum set, you should carefully consider buying a used starter drum set.
Most major manufacturers of drum kits will now offer smaller, less expansive versions of their kits design for starters. You will find mini drum kits for children as young as 3, but also junior drum kits appropriate for kids into their teens. I have Rock Band for 360 and World Tour for Wii. I am a professional drummer of many years so I may look at the game a bit differently than your average gamer. So from a drummers perspective, the World Tour drums are better. They have a much better surface than RB 1, but RB 2 has a similar surface to World Tour. I played the new RB at Best Buy last week and even though the surface is better, the World Tour drums feel better to me and the lay out with the 3 toms and 2 cymbals is just more realistic. I have played them a good bit and no issues with breaking. They seem pretty well made.
