sweet 16 casino theme?
hey i'm thinking that i want a casino theme for my sweet 16. i dono what to do or where to have it. i guess we'll play blackjack, poker, and bingo. there's gunna be about 40 people so i dont want like a few people playing at a time. i want all of us to do stuff together so there wont be mini cliques. ya know? there will be virgin margaritas and stuff and we'll have a disco ball and strobe light. i'm open to here your ideas! hurry cuz the party is feb 07!!! thanx <3
we would play some card games for chips. the chips will be worth different amounts and when we are all done playing, there will be a mini auction. we will auction small prizes like candy and cards or something just to get people involved. There will probably be a bigger prize for the person with the most money. I'm not sure yet so i wanna hear your suggestions!
Frankly, I think that the idea is totally inappropriate for 16-year-olds. I just don't think gambling (even for fun) and pretend grown-up drinks is something that should be encouraged in kids. But, it's your party. If you're going to have blackjack, poker, craps, etc., tables, then you'll need lots of adult help to work as dealers. You'll need lots of tables, lots of chips, cards, etc. All of that can be rented, but it may not be within your budget. Give each guest a specific amount to play with. Then, be sure to have prizes that they can "buy" with their winnings.
