The Maine State Flag
The United States displays a fascinating variety of flags, including state and territorial flags from steel and aluminum flag poles. One such flag is the state flag of Maine, which displays a blue colored field with the state's coat of arms. This is not that unique of a flag design, since a good number of other states do a similar thing. Other flags displayed throughout the United States are military and historical flags of all kinds!
Most country or international flags as well as good percentage of state flags have their respective colors designated by law. The Maine flag however has yet to receive regulatory specifics with regards to the colors of the coat of arms shown on the state flag. However, the blue color as used for the flag's field is specified. Interestingly, the blue shade is the same as the one used on "Old Glory."
Various surveys in the U.S. have been held, including one by NAVA in the past, reviewing or grading the state flag with respect to the other flags attached to flag poles and such throughout the American Nation. Surprising to some, the Maine banner is considered one of the least original or (better said) one of the worst in flown the United States. Criticism includes the commonalities with regards to the other state flags.
On a side note, and as of '08, the state had a population counting roughly one point three million people, which is considered an increase of 0.5%, from the 2007. This increase includes a natural increase since the last census and an increase due to net migration of a little more than forty thousand people into the state.
The "Pine Tree State" is one of a few American states that seem to show and fly a state flag and a separate state ensign from flag poles. The latter fascinatingly being rarely seen in public.
Most of those people claiming to have American ancestry are interestingly and actually of English descent. The state is also second (to New Hampshire) in the % of French Americans among states. Maine also has the largest percentage of non-Hispanic whites of any state in the nation and the highest % of current French speakers.

Bridging voice coils with speaker wire?
In order to bridge a + and - voice coil on a sub together, do I twist together the positive and negative poles of a piece of speaker wire on each end and attach them to the voice coil?
They are 2 DVC alpine type r's. I'll be wiring them in series parallel to a mono alpine mrp-m850 amp, putting out 500 watts at 4 ohms.
What are you trying to do exactly? What sub(s) do you have? What amp? If you have SVC subs, you wire the + to each other and the - to each other. That is parallel wiring. If you hook up the + of one to the - of the other, that is series wiring. They give a different impedence each. Depends on your subs and amp. If you have DVC subs, it gets a little trickier. You can do some series/parallel wiring, all parallel, or all series. Again, depends on the subs and amp.
