Help, I broke the glass on my MacBook Pro!

How can I tell if my macbook pro has been restored to factory settings?
I just bought I brand new macbook pro (15,4 inch)... but I'm thinking that it may be used (it was a bit dirty when I opened it, but it has no scratches).
I tried with coconut battery, but it went ok, the battery is new. However they might have changed it.
Is there a way to know if the mac was restored to factory settings... or perhaps any other way to know if is a used laptop.
When you first started it, did it show the Apple Setup with "Welcome" in twelve languages? That can be fixed to happen after an erase and install, but it isn't easy to do. If it already had an administrator account, it was not a fresh product.
The fact that it was a bit dirty means it had been out of the box since it left Apple's hands. No computer is anything but perfect when it leaves Apple, including refurbished computers.
BTW, you don't need Coconut Battery. The System Profiler shows the battery charge history.
