The LCD TVs have CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Light) system which is not very energy efficient. Help wiring 4 pin rgb led's for my car?
Ok so I know this is going to sound totally stupid, but I'm using rgb led's to backlight the instrument cluster in my 63 corvair... I know that I can either run a resistor for each led or run one for them all and run the led's in parallel with one resistor per color...
I spent all day wiring the led's (14 lf them) and building my own harness, I was testing them on a small 12 volt battery and the voltage measured out perfectly when I tested (2.3v) but the battery was weak and only ran at 10v with no load, so when I hooked it up to a 12v power supply to start charging the battery, I burned up all my led's. I know I have to put new led's in but what do I need to do to drop the voltage to 3v? The resistors I have don't drop the voltage at all, not even a little... They are 5 band resistors, the color code is brown black black blue green... Any help is great I don't want to keep burning up my led's
get a balest restor for a old car like 1960 to70 balest restoe for a coil for points system it lowers 12 v to 6 volt . an is hevy duty mont wher it heat wont hert any thing if you still have points distabor your coil will be intranl restor or externial restor if ex ternal you can see what one looks like but dont hook to that one will lowr volts to coil
