I just bought the green one that is similar to that one. I do think that eventually the conure or any bird that is a climber will rub the paint off the bars. I have my Goffin's Cockatoo in it as a sleep cage. It is the biggest small cage that I have so I figured that he deserved it he being the biggest bird. They slept in their sleep cages last night for the first time and did fine!! They got about 12 hours of sleep.
