Getting the best of the audio equipment with a set of surround sound speaker stands
With the advances in audio visual technology a home cinema or theatre system is becoming more and more within the reach of the average person that's for sure. Whether your setup involves a dvd or blue ray player one thing for sure is that the audio quality of your system has become just as important as the visual aspect and it's for this reason that a set of quality surround sound speaker stands will help you get the best out of your gear. You may be a little skeptical about just how much a simple stand can help you, which is not unusual as i do too felt the same some months ago. However after having a chance to compare the quality of the sound produced by my system both with and without stands i have to admit that i'm glad i splashed out that little extra to get a set of quality stands too.
Not only do they tidy up things somewhat by raising the speakers up off the floor but also they can help keep any messy wires out of the way and safely secures them either inside the stand itself or via clips down the back of the stand. This is great if like me you have small children who are keep to grab at any loose wires they may happen upon! Of course this is just an added benefit as the main purpose behind such stands is to elevate your speakers up out of the way of external vibrations than can adversely affect the quality of sound that your speaker can produce. Additionally you will find that your stand is built in such a way that it offers extra insulation from such vibrations through spikes that the base of the stand rests on and also via a quality fitting fixture that actually holds your speaker in place.
The key to getting the best out of your speaker is certainly to use a quality stand, however presuming you've followed all other guidelines about positioning your speaker in the correct positions to get the best out of your surround sound speakers but also that you should position your speakers at standard ear level in order that the sound they produce is free from obstructions such as furniture. Please note that by ear level we mean ear level when sitting as this will be the most common position, perhaps in a nightclub or such they would be placed closer to the ear level when standing but for home use we would recommend ear level when sitting as being the best height for your speakers. As such most speaker stands will come with an adjustable bracket that will allow you to change the height of the speaker in relation to your ear level. Once in place i'm sure you will agree that your stands certainly do improve the quality of your audio experience and bring you one step closer to the action!
