How do you ground a stereo accessory for a car stereo?
I am adding an fm modulator to my car stereo and I know how to tap into an existing 12v line but i want to know if i should ground it to the negative line on the accessory i'm tapping into or if i should ground it to some metal in the car. Thanks
Either or should work.
But I'd suggest grounding it to a well sanded metal bolt on a metal surface, making sure it has no paint or anything similar on it.
