Does anyone have a pattern or know how to sew a skirt for a baker's rack?
I found some fabric I like and bought velcro to attach to the baker's rack itself (it will be sewed to the fabric), but I'm not really sure how to sew it. I just bought a new sewing machine and I'm still new to sewing. I have the basic know-how of the machine down, so no worries there (I hope). I'd like it to have some sort of pleating or something...I don't just want it to hang straight down. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!!
the easiest thing to do would be to gather the fabric. to do this you run a basting stitch around the top edge. since it is going to be pretty long you may want to start and stop a few times. if you pull easily on one of the threads it should pull pretty easy and gather the top. topstitch it to your velcro. another idea would be to use elastic.
